It’s easy to see the advantages of the FB Series. With optical resolution of 400 dpi and interpolated resolution up to 800 dpi on the 2000 S/D FB, pictures come out crisp and clear. You can access image enhancement features such as adjustable scanning in increments up to 256 gray tones, scanning in both bitonal and grayscale in one pass, adjustable contrast settings and binary filters that eliminate "noise" particles from the document. The optional Image Processing Unit improves image quality even more with time-saving automatic photo/letter discrimination and dynamic thresholding.

A SCSI interface comes standard with each unit, or there's a video option on the 1000 FB model that makes connecting to many imaging applications remarkably simple. The 2000 S/D FB is the first (A3 scanner to meet stringent specificaitons of the EPA's Energy Star Program and Low Noise Rating. Other user-conscious features include an Endorser function enabling printing of up to 19 characters for easy retrieval of mission - critical images.
